Not only total world population is expected to grow to > 9 billions in 2050 according to UNO, but also more than 50% of all people are already living in urban agglomerations. Space as either living or working area or as natural habitat or farmland becomes an enormous value in the vicinity of large cities. It is therefore of great interest to politicians, property developers and nature conservationists to remediate existing landfills to achieve the following goals:
- prevention of pollution from gas emissions and leachate
- recycling of valuable materials for further use
- reclamation of surface for alternative uses
- space recovery for prolonged landfilling of waste
COMP-ANY turns old land fills into more efficiently used space for alternative uses by biological stabilisation and treatment.
